5 Easy & Healthy Summer Snack Ideas


Hi Everybody! it’s officially summer! Summer started on June 20th and with that I wanted to give you some easy, quick, and healthy snacks ideas that you can take with you to amusement parks or a beach day or a picnic or just hanging out at home with friends, a sleepover, a party, whatever really! All these snacks are vegan and gluten-free But even if you’re not vegan, these are healthy and quick snack ideas that I think you’ll love anyways alright let’s get cooking! First we’re going to make our own popsicles simply grab a popsicle mould grab some juice, or a smoothie or i’m using coconut water, and pour it into the mould don’t fill it all the way to the top, leave some space to put in some fruit or whatever later put on the lid and put it in the freezer for about an hour and a half until the juice becomes a bit slushy meanwhile prepare your fruit, edible flowers, herbs, or whatever you want to put into your popsicles after your popsicles are a bit frozen and thicker, you can start to put in your toppings you can place them easier using a stick stick in your popsicle sticks then put them back in the freezer for another 5 hours until they are completely frozen and solid or better yet, keep them in the freezer overnight when they are ready and completely frozen you can carefully take them out of their moulds if it’s difficult to remove you can run the sides under hot water a little bit and it will make it easier these are so delicious and refreshing! I can’t wait for you guys to try this to see what you create! ooooh this is a good one! grab a large mixing bowl and add in the following ingredients; about 6 medium diced tomatoes, 2 cans of black beans I’m using black beans, kidney beans, chickpeas, and lima beans if you’re using canned beans make sure you wash them really well first a half cup of yellow and orange peppers diced 1 red onion diced a half cup of green peppers diced and 1 can of sweet corn mix 1/3 cup of extra virgin olive oil with 1.5 tablespoons of white wine vinegar and 1.5 tablespoons of agave syrup and 1 teaspoon of chilli powder mix it well then pour it over the salad add 1 cup of chopped fresh cilantro and a pinch of salt mix it together really well then store it in the fridge for at least 1 hour or overnight so that all the flavours blend really nicely this bean salsa is good on its own, but it’s even better with nacho chips This is a quick and easy way to make fruit look cute! grab any fruit you like and cut it into pieces you can use cookie cutters to make things easier grab a shish kabob stick stick and carefully slide your fruit onto it and that’s all there is to it! See, it’s really easy to make, and it’s perfect for parties! These make a really light, fresh, and yummy snack! chop up your vegetables in long thin strips take a slicer, and thinly slice your zucchini in a bowl mix together a half cup of hummus and a half cup of cooked quinoa lay down a slice of your zucchini and spread on the hummus quinoa mixture add some fresh parsley, basil, red chicory, red pepper, yellow pepper, carrots, and sprouts then carefully roll up the zucchini so colourful! these look great and they taste even better! These are the best healthy chocolate chips cookies ever! I put them on my website a while ago, but I wanted to make a video on them Seriously, anybody who tries them always loves them In a large mixing bowl pour in 1 cup of gluten-free flour, I’m using a 1/2 cup of brown rice flour and a 1/2 cup of corn flour, but you can use any kind of flour you like! add 1/2 cup of organic gluten-free oats a 1/2 cup of almond flour a 1/2 cup of sliced almonds 1/4 cup of coconut sugar 4 tbsp of vegan chocolate chips 2 tbsp of pumpkin seeds 2 tbsp of sunflower seeds also 2 tbsp of chia seeds 1/2 tsp of baking powder and a 1/2 tsp of baking soda a 1/2 tsp of cinnamon and a 1/4 cup of shredded coconut For the wet ingredients, you want to mix a 1/4 cup of maple syrup 3 tbsp of natural organic applesauce 1/4 cup of coconut oil 3 tbsp of natural peanut butter 1 tsp of vanilla extract mix the ingredients in both bowls together well add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix them together well with your hands to form a dough shape the dough into about 2 inch wide cookies and place them on a non-stick baking sheet and bake them at 350ºF or 180ºC for about 10-15 minutes until the edges of the cookies start to become golden brown let them cool for about 5 minutes, then you can serve them they taste really good when they’re all warm and chewy too! these cookies are high in healthy fats, antioxidants and fibre! so they taste good and they’re good for you! This one is probably my favourite one out of all of them, it’s so good! it’s even better then next day when all of the juices have mixed together I can’t break chips apart and make them smaller, I have to squeeze the whole thing in my mouth even if that means cutting the sides of my mouth I just have to fit in the whole chip like this let me know in the comments which snack you like best or which one you want to try the most and of course if you do try them, I would love to see them, tag me in your photos with #LookTay It would be really great if you gave this video a thumbs up if you liked it and I will see you soon!
